How to read an answer

  • Ochre notes show where a tradition disagrees with itself: its schools, branches or eras answer differently.
  • Teal notes flag a tradition that reframes the question instead of answering it as asked.
  • References are starting points, not verification. Most source links open a web search for a named text or topic. Check original texts and qualified scholarship before relying on an answer.

Review status

Counting reviewed answers… These summaries are educational overviews, not official statements of any tradition. No answer should be treated as authoritative until a qualified, named reviewer of that tradition checks it. Reviewed answers will carry a visible credit.
